Aktris Jessica Alba sempat berjanji tidak akan tampil telanjang di film-film yang dibintanginya. Namun, Alba menelan ludahnya sendiri di film terbarunya.
Dalam film terbarunya, Machete, Alba tampil bugil dalam sebuah adegan di kamar mandi. Foto-foto adegan Alba tanpa busana pun beredar di media massa Inggris.
Gambar tersebut muncul tujuh bulan setelah aktris berusia 29 tahun tersebut mengatakan kepada majalah Scarlet: “Saya tidak akan pernah tampil di adegan bugil. Saya bisa berperan seksi dan menggunakan pakaian yang seksi, tetapi saya tidak akan tampil telanjang.”
“Saya rasa saya selalu merasa sangat tidak nyaman dengan perkembangan di badan saya. Saya juga ingat nenek saya akan ketakutan dan melempar handuk ke arah saya jika dia melihat saya hanya memakai BH dan celana dalam,” ujar Alba. “Saya berasal dari keluarga Katolik yang taat. Jadi, tampil seperti itu dinilai tidak baik. Saya tidak keberatan tampil seksi dengan pakaian, tetapi bukan tampil bugil.”
Dalam film Machete, Alba tampil sebagai seorang petugas imigrasi bernama Sartana. Sartana berada pada dua pilihan sulit antara menegakkan keadilan atau melakukan apa yang benar.
Film tersebut juga dibintangi Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, dan Lindsay Lohan. Film yang disutradarai Ethan Maniquis dan Robert Rodriguez tersebut akan dirilis di Amerika Serikat.
